Job Description

The role of a senior leader involves overseeing a team within the Operations Department to deliver new business and end-to-end policy servicing for group business. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating with various teams, including Sales and Actuarial, to close individual group processes.

To achieve this, they will accomplish the issuance of policies and resolve customer and intermediary queries in a timely and professional manner. Ensuring that an efficient and effective service is provided to both intermediaries and customers is also crucial.

Additionally, the senior leader must guarantee that established company procedures are followed consistently and contribute to the introduction of improvements whenever possible.

Implementing and maintaining quality and quantity controls will aid proactive management and problem anticipation. Supervising and training an effective team that meets business needs as the company grows is also vital.

Closely coordinating with finance for reconciliation of policy account balances and leading transformation and digitization of group business will be key responsibilities.

Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate should possess an MBA or ACII with at least 8-10 years' experience in customer services or operations departments. An Associate of Insurance Institute qualification would be advantageous.

Key skills required include:

  • Good experience in operations within the financial services industry.
  • Experience working within Group Operations departments of insurance companies is essential.
  • Ability to leverage data processing to drive operational efficiency.
  • Proficiency in using databases and office management software, including word processors and spreadsheets.
  • Strong leadership, team-building, and influencing skills.
