Lead Database Administrator

We are seeking an experienced database administrator to lead high-profile projects and modernize complex systems.

The ideal candidate will design robust, scalable databases for future applications while ensuring data systems are efficient and ready for growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement secure database solutions (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL)
  • Monitor and optimize database performance through indexing, query tuning, and storage management
  • Develop and execute database capacity planning, disaster recovery strategy, and backup/restore processes
  • Implement database security controls including encryption, access controls, and auditing
  • Collaborate with development, DevOps, and infrastructure teams
  • Automate routine database operations using scripting and infrastructure-as-code tools

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, 7+ years of hands-on experience in database administration
  • Expertise in SQL Server, strong proficiency in T-SQL, stored procedures, and performance analysis tools
  • Experience with HA/DR solutions, solid understanding of database security, compliance, and role-based access control
  • Proficient in automation scripting, familiar with CI/CD pipelines and integrating DB changes into DevOps workflows
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and in a team setting

This role requires expertise in designing and implementing secure, scalable databases while ensuring data systems are efficient and ready for growth.
