About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and skilled Mechanical Engineering Graduate Intern to join our team. As a key member of the team, you will assist in the assembly and fabrication of mechanical parts and systems, follow technical drawings and instructions for precise builds, support troubleshooting mechanical issues during prototyping, handle tools and workshop equipment safely and efficiently, work with vendors for fabrication and component procurement, contribute to prototype development and quality checks, support 3D CAD work and documentation where needed, procure local components necessary for mechanical assembly and prototyping, and collaborate with external vendors to ensure accurate fabrication of designs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the assembly and fabrication of mechanical parts and systems.
  • Follow technical drawings and instructions for precise builds.
  • Support in troubleshooting mechanical issues during prototyping.
  • Handle tools and workshop equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Work with vendors for fabrication and component procurement.
  • Contribute to prototype development and quality checks.
  • Support in 3D CAD work and documentation where needed.
  • Procure local components necessary for mechanical assembly and prototyping.
  • Collaborate with external vendors to ensure accurate fabrication of designs.
Requirements
  • Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Eagerness to engage in hands-on tasks—fabrication, assembly, and testing.
  • Understanding of mechanical components and how things fit together.
  • Ability to follow instructions and stay detail-oriented during builds.
  • Clear communication skills, especially when coordinating with vendors and team members.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with fabrication tools.
  • Exposure to workshop practices.
  • Eagerness to learn and take initiative in solving practical problems.
  • Familiarity with mechanical drawings and interpreting them during assembly.
