As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will play a crucial role in creating innovative designs for sheet metal components and assemblies.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop detailed 2D drawings in AutoCAD and 3D models in SolidWorks for sheet metal parts and assemblies.
  • Prepare fabrication drawings, bill of materials (BOM), and technical documentation for production.
  • Collaborate with the production team to ensure designs are manufacturable and cost-effective.
  • Contribute to the development of new products and customization of existing designs as per client requirements.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Strong technical knowledge of sheet metal design and fabrication processes (laser cutting, punching, bending, welding, finishing).
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D) and SolidWorks (3D modeling, assemblies, rendering).
  • Ability to prepare development drawings, exploded views, and assembly drawings.
  • Understanding of tolerances, GD&T, welding symbols, and material specifications (SS 304/316 etc.).
  • Good visualization and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and technical documentation.
  • Team player with effective communication skills.

Qualifications:
  • Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (preferred specialization: Sheet Metal / Design).

Experience:
  • 2–3 years of relevant experience in sheet metal design and fabrication industry.
  • Experience in commercial kitchen equipment, refrigeration equipment, or similar stainless steel fabrication industries will be an added advantage.
