UpMan Placements seeks an experienced Human Resources professional to lead our HR and Administration department.

About the Role

The Head of HR and Administration will be responsible for developing and implementing HR strategies aligned with our company's vision and business objectives. This includes leading the HR team to create a high-performance culture focused on innovation, employee engagement, and growth.

Responsibilities

  • HR Strategy & Leadership: Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the company's vision and business objectives. Lead the HR team to create a high-performance culture focused on innovation, employee engagement, and growth. Advise senior management on HR policies, issues, and organizational structure to optimize employee performance.
  • Recruitment & Talent Management: Oversee the recruitment process to ensure the company attracts top talent, particularly in pharmaceutical operations, research, and development roles. Collaborate with department heads to identify staffing needs and define job descriptions for new and existing roles. Develop onboarding programs and ensure smooth integration of new hires into the company culture. Implement strategies for talent development, career progression, and succession planning.
  • Employee Relations & Engagement: Foster a positive work environment through effective communication and employee engagement initiatives. Resolve employee conflicts and address grievances in a fair and consistent manner. Lead efforts to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion within the workplace. Develop and implement employee recognition programs to reward high performance.
  • Compensation & Benefits: Manage the design and implementation of competitive compensation and benefits structures. Conduct salary benchmarking and maintain equity across different roles and departments. Ensure compliance with local labor laws and industry standards related to compensation and benefits.
  • Performance Management: Oversee the performance management process, ensuring alignment with company objectives. Develop frameworks for setting, evaluating, and reviewing employee performance. Advise managers on providing feedback and creating development plans for their teams.
  • Compliance & Training: Ensure HR policies and practices comply with local labor laws, pharmaceutical regulations, and ethical standards. Implement training and development programs that support both personal and professional growth, with a focus on compliance in the pharmaceutical industry. Monitor changes in legislation affecting employee rights and workplace regulations.
  • Administration Responsibilities: Oversee the day-to-day administrative operations, ensuring office efficiency and smooth coordination between departments. Manage office supplies, facilities, and equipment to support a productive work environment. Coordinate meetings, events, and company-wide communication in line with business priorities.
  • Documentation & Record Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, contracts, and other relevant documentation. Ensure that all administrative functions (e.g., payroll, insurance, employee benefits) are properly managed and documented. Oversee the management of company policies and procedures, ensuring they are regularly updated and compliant with regulations.
  • Budgeting & Resource Management: Develop and manage the HR and Administration department budget, ensuring cost-effective operations. Ensure efficient allocation of resources across the HR and administrative functions.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Oversee workplace safety and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, particularly in pharmaceutical manufacturing or research settings. Coordinate emergency procedures and support employee health and wellness initiatives.
  • Travel & Logistics Management: Manage travel arrangements for employees, including international travel, conferences, and training programs. Organize logistical support for business events, meetings, and conferences.
  • Vendor Management: Oversee the selection and management of external vendors for office supplies, services, and equipment maintenance. Negotiate contracts with vendors to secure favorable terms and ensure service quality.

What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $100,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in HR leadership roles
  • MBA or advanced degree in HR or related field
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment law, and regulatory compliance
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to analyze complex data and make informed decisions
