Senior Manager Plant Quality Head Job Description

This role requires an experienced quality professional to oversee all aspects of quality assurance and control at our manufacturing facility for low-voltage electrical panels.

  • Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive quality management system (QMS) that ensures compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
  • Monitor and control quality processes across all stages of production, from raw material inspection to final product testing.
  • Lead and manage a team of quality engineers, inspectors, and technicians to achieve quality objectives.
  • Evaluate and ensure adherence to industry standards (e.g., IEC, UL, BIS) and customer-specific requirements for low-voltage electrical panels.
  • Drive initiatives for process optimization, defect reduction, and quality improvement using tools like Six Sigma, Lean, and root cause analysis.
  • Oversee testing procedures, including dielectric tests, temperature rise tests, and short-circuit withstand tests, to ensure product reliability and safety.

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 8-10 years of experience in quality management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the low-voltage electrical panel or similar electrical manufacturing industry.
  • Strong understanding of low-voltage electrical panel design, manufacturing processes, and testing standards.
  • Expertise in QMS, Lean, Six Sigma, and statistical process control (SPC).
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and quality management software.
