Production Planning and Control Specialist

A critical role in ensuring the efficient production of products. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining production schedules to meet sales and operational requirements.

  • Forecast raw material, packaging, and labor needs based on sales trends and inventory levels.
  • Monitor capacity planning to avoid bottlenecks and optimize throughput.
Material Requirements Planning:
  • Calculate and share detailed material requirements with the procurement team.
  • Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure timely ordering and receipt of materials.
Inventory Management:
  • Maintain optimal inventory levels to support production schedules and customer demand.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy and prevent shortages or overstocking.
Production Control:
  • Track production progress and ensure adherence to schedules.
  • Identify deviations or delays and implement corrective actions.
Reporting and Data Analysis:
  • Leverage ERP systems to generate accurate and timely reports.
  • Analyze plant performance metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Resource Optimization:
  • Optimize utilization of manpower, equipment, and materials.
Process Improvement:
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
Regulatory Compliance:
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, health, and safety regulations.

Required Skills and Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Food Technology, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. 3-5 years experience in production planning, material and inventory management, and ERP-based reporting. Technical skills include proficiency in ERP systems, advanced knowledge of Excel and data visualization tools, strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles. Soft skills include strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and team collaboration abilities.
