Job Description

At this fast-paced, agile startup, we are looking for a talented FPGA Engineer Intern to join our lean engineering team. As a core member of our team, you will have the opportunity to take ownership of developing and maintaining critical components of our Virtual FPGA technology.

Your primary responsibility will be to architect and implement high-performance cybersecurity applications that push the boundaries of what's possible on our platform. You will actively collaborate on system design, performance analysis, and integration in a constantly evolving codebase.

This is not a typical internship where you'll be siloed on a minor task. You'll be part of a dynamic, distributed team with a huge vision - to fundamentally change how high-performance computing is accessed by integrating Virtual FPGA technology with Kubernetes.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Master's or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • Experience in FPGA system development, particularly with AMD/Xilinx FPGAs.
  • Proficiency in Verilog and/or SystemVerilog.
  • Strong understanding of network protocols (e.g., Ethernet, TCP/IP, UDP).
  • Programming skills in C/C++.
  • Familiarity with software/hardware development in a Linux environment and Git for version control.
  • A background in FPGA-based networking application development or performance analysis.
