Job Overview

  • Project Development: Manage projects from concept to delivery, including risk identification, dependency creation, mitigation plans, schedule tracking, and customer discussions.

Responsibilities:

  • Algorithm Partitioning: Break down complex algorithms into building blocks and signal processing functions for implementation in FPGA and/or software environments.
  • Resource Estimation: Provide accurate estimates of FPGA resources, computation bandwidth, and memory bandwidth requirements.
  • Design Creation: Develop module-level details from architecture, coding, simulation, and peer review processes.
  • Documentation Management: Establish and maintain project-related documentation, focusing on design documents with detailed analysis reports.
  • Cross-Functional Support: Offer assistance during integration phases at test sites and collaborate with production teams.

Required Skills:

  • VHDL Proficiency:
  • Xilinx Toolset Expertise: Proficiency in synthesis and implementation tools.
  • FPGA Mastery: In-depth understanding of Xilinx FPGAs, functional simulation, hardware design, and debugging techniques.
  • RTL Coding: Skilled in VHDL/Verilog RTL coding and system C/system Verilog development.
  • DSP Algorithm Development: Experienced in implementing DSP algorithms in FPGA environments for radar and electronic warfare systems.
  • Algorithm Modeling: Proficient in modeling algorithms using Octave/MATLAB, generating test vectors, and visualizing data.
  • Interfacing Knowledge: Familiarity with interfacing ADCs and DACs and interpreting their performance characteristics.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication, presentation, and teamwork abilities.
