Club Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Club Manager to oversee the daily operations of our fitness club. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring that all aspects of the club run smoothly and efficiently.

  • Key Responsibilities:

Club Operations & Planning:

  1. Coordinate and oversee the execution of club events, workshops, speaker sessions, and client visits.
  2. Develop an annual activity calendar and track progress.

Stakeholder Communication:

  1. Act as the point of contact between the club, property owners, external partners, vendors, and members.
  2. Minutes of meeting, follow-ups on points agreed and execution of the same.

Team Management:

  1. Properly delegate, monitor, and evaluate specifically assigned responsibilities of team members.
  2. Ensure all staff consistently comply with the uniform policy by always wearing the designated attire while on duty.
  3. Responsible for managing disciplinary actions involving all club-level employees.

Budget & Resource Management:

  1. Assist in managing club budgets, sponsorships, and resource allocation for events.
  2. Coordinate with management for any necessary approvals or procurement.

Membership Engagement:

  1. Consistently deliver a high standard of customer service by creating a welcoming, supportive environment for all members.
  2. Promptly and professionally address concerns, complaints, or suggestions, turning potential issues into opportunities to strengthen member relationships and improve club services.
  3. Foster a culture of attentiveness and responsiveness among staff to ensure every member's interaction reflects the club's values and commitment to excellence.

Health, Safety & Compliance:

  1. Ensures the fitness club operates in full compliance with local, state, and industry health regulations, including sanitation standards, emergency protocols, and staff certification.
  2. Implements and monitors safety procedures across all areas—workout zones, locker rooms, and group class studios—to minimize risk and protect members and staff.
  3. Oversee maintenance needs and coordinates with staff training in CPR/First Aid, and ensure readiness for any emergency situation, fostering a secure and professional environment at all times.

Program & Event Planning:

  1. Strategically plan, coordinate, and oversee a variety of engaging fitness programs, wellness challenges, workshops, and social events that cater to diverse member interests and goals.
  2. Collaborate closely with instructors, personal trainers, and wellness professionals to design and implement innovative offerings that enhance the member experience, boost participation, and support overall club engagement.
  3. Monitor attendance and feedback to refine programming, ensuring events remain fresh, impactful, and aligned with the club's vision and member expectations.

Reporting & Documentation:

  1. Maintain documentation of all club activities for audit, continuity, and institutional reporting.
  2. Provide regular updates to the club president, coordinator of the property, managing committee, and management.
