Job Title: Senior Geotechnical Specialist

Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Geotechnical Specialist to join our team. This role involves conducting thorough geotechnical investigations, analyzing data, and providing expert recommendations for structural and infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft detailed scopes of work for field/lab testing agencies, outlining borehole specifications and test types.
  • Coordinate with field teams to resolve technical queries and suggest changes during site execution.
  • Analyze and summarize borehole data to inform structural design and foundation decisions.
  • Prepare comprehensive Geotechnical Interpretation Reports, including assessments of safe bearing capacity, pile capacity, soil spring constants, liquefaction analysis, and soil-structure interaction.
  • Secure approval of reports from authorities, proof checkers, and other stakeholders.
  • Review field tests such as pile load tests and plate load tests.
  • Support pre-bid engineering and represent the firm in technical meetings.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in geotechnical investigation and reporting.
  • Strong civil engineering fundamentals and site coordination skills.
  • Proficient in preparing design summaries and technical documentation.
  • Effective communicator and team player.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with LPILE, WALLAP, PLAXIS, or equivalent geotechnical software.
  • Exposure to ground anchoring and improvement techniques.
  • Prior experience with infrastructure or structural projects.
