Job Description:

As an Internal Compliance Officer, you will be responsible for conducting thorough internal audits across various departments to assess compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. This involves evaluating the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management, and governance processes to identify gaps, control weaknesses, and potential risks in business processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct internal audits to ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Evaluate internal controls, risk management, and governance processes to identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement corrective actions to address identified control weaknesses and potential risks.
  • Prepare detailed audit reports with observations, findings, and recommendations.
  • Monitor implementation of audit recommendations and follow up on compliance.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful as an Internal Compliance Officer, you must possess:

  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Familiarity with ERP/accounting software (Tally, SAP, Oracle, or similar).
  • Good knowledge of accounting principles, auditing standards, and internal control systems.
  • Knowledge of GST, TDS, and other taxation rules is an added advantage.
