ATM Switching Specialist

Contribute to the development of robust and futuristic solutions for ATM switching and cards & payment domain.

Job Description:

• The role will be responsible for creating a roadmap for applications that provide efficient, secure, and high-performance solutions for ATM switching and cards & payment domain.
• The successful candidate will design and deliver solution architecture for ATM switching, cards, and payment domain, ensuring it meets industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Develop solutions, manage stakeholders, vendors, and financials, and deliver project costs on time.
• Identify and manage risks, including developing contingency plans to mitigate potential issues.
• Knowledge of card issuing and transaction acquiring processing and standards, as well as ISO8583 messaging standard protocols.
• Experience with VISA, MasterCard Card, UPI, and other national card schemes Issuing & Acquiring, Scheme compliance requirement.
• Design and develop high-volume, low-latency applications for mission-critical systems, delivering high-availability and performance.
• Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, and deployment.
• Write well-designed, efficient code using best software development practices.
• Ensure designs follow specifications, prepare releases of software components, and improve code quality and development process efficiency.
• Deliver projects within scope and budget, meeting industry standards.
• Proven hands-on experience in Java development, including Java 8/11/17/21, Spring framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC), Hibernate/JPA.
• Experience with building and consuming RESTful APIs, Linux OS, Linux Shell Scripting, microservices architecture, and PostgreSQL database management.
• Identify and fix vulnerabilities in internal/external components.
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git, and Agile methodologies.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail, good communication skills, and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Knowledge about HSM protocols and configuration, encryption Keys/Cryptography both symmetric and asymmetric keys, 3DES, AES, SM4, SHA, EMV technologies, and PCI DSS and PA DSS standards.
• Familiarity with Contact and Contactless technologies, 3DS and Tokenization standards, Unix/Linux environment, and end-to-end systems development life cycles.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to technical and non-technical audiences of various levels in the organization.
• Willingly shares relevant technical and/or industry knowledge and expertise to other resources.
• Excellent problem-solving, team, and time management skills.
• Resourceful and proactive in gathering information and sharing ideas.
• Experience in banking or financial services industry, preferably in Cloud and Digital transformation projects.
• Good knowledge skill on open banking is an added advantage.
• Ability to review requirements, impact analysis, gap analysis, high-level design, cost estimation, propose timeline, obtain project approval, and draft solution architecture/function spec/technical spec document.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related IT area, with 8-10 years of experience.
• Strong knowledge of ATM/POS switching, Debit Card Issuance/Management, Digital Channels interface, Encryption, HSM and ISO8583 messaging standards.
• Hands-on experience with Java, Code Commit Tools like GIT, Postgres, Linux Shell scripting, Linux OS, Job Scheduling, and Vulnerability Detection Tools.
• Expertise in EMV Contact/Contactless, VISA, and MasterCard Card Issuing & Acquiring, Scheme compliance requirements.
• Experience with EFT transaction switching and processing, Switch integration with VISA/Mastercard, Google Pay/Samsung Pay/Apple Pay Wallets, and QR Code and Emerging payments.
• Excellent problem-solving, team, and time management skills.
