Job Title: Network Engineer I

The position requires a strong technical background in network engineering, with hands-on experience in designing and implementing complex network architectures.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and deploying network solutions to meet customer requirements
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of network services
  • Troubleshooting and resolving complex network issues
  • Providing expert-level technical support and training to customers and internal stakeholders

Required skills and qualifications include:

  • 3-4 years of hands-on experience in engineering and administering IP networks
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in configuring and maintaining routers, hubs, bridges, and switches
  • Expert knowledge of TCP/IP protocols and enhancements
  • Working knowledge of DS3, T1, OC3, ISDN, Frame Relay, SONET, ATM, and DSL, and other bandwidth link specifications and protocols
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

Additional requirements include:

  • Experience working with heterogeneous networking components
  • Knowledge of routing/switching involving VLANs, ATM, Frame relay, and optical carriers
  • Experience using network analysis, management, and performance monitoring tools
  • Working experience with troubleshooting tools such as traceroute, dig, tcpdump/snoop, and packet analysis applications
  • Experience with the configuration and administration of both Hardware and Software based Firewalls
  • Experience with Visio creating detailed network diagrams
