Quality Assurance Specialist

This role is responsible for ensuring that our subtitles meet industry and client requirements. The Quality Assurance Specialist will be checking language subtitles against reference material, implementing required instructions, and maintaining a high-quality record of 99% or higher.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Ensure language subtitles conform to Deluxe guidelines and client specifications.
  • Verify subtitles against reference material and implement required changes.
  • Maintain an average quality yield of 99% or higher throughout the year.
  • Update work trackers to reflect project status.
  • Ensure timely delivery for all clients.
  • Coordinate with PC and update Project Notes to implement changes or fixes in languages.
  • Provide feedback to other users and departments when necessary.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, both internal and external.
  • Take ownership of one's work and adhere to department schedules and guidelines.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Mentor and coach newer recruits to meet quality standards.
  • Promote teamwork and suggest improvements to subtitling workflows.
  • Participate in job and personal knowledge training programs.
  • Display eagerness to learn new aspects of the process.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Exceptional audio sensitivity and ability to understand various English accents.
  • Good comprehension and communication skills.
  • Broad cultural knowledge and interests.
  • Team player, detail-oriented, and able to multi-task under tight deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic computer skills.
  • Good typing speed and accuracy.
