**Head of Quality Assurance for Food Products**

Job Summary:

The Head of Quality Assurance oversees quality assurance and control processes to ensure food products meet regulatory standards, customer expectations, and safety requirements. This role ensures the highest quality of products from raw materials to finished goods, while driving continuous improvement in production and safety processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement quality control systems, policies, and procedures to maintain compliance with industry regulations and internal quality standards.
  • Oversee regular audits, inspections, and testing processes across all production stages to ensure consistency and safety.
Process Monitoring:
  • Supervise the quality assurance team to monitor and evaluate the production process, ensuring it adheres to quality and safety protocols.
  • Develop protocols for raw material inspection, in-process control, and finished product testing to prevent quality deviations or non-conformities.
Compliance & Certification:
  • Maintain certifications and compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Properly document quality control processes and procedures for internal and external audits, ensuring transparency and accountability.
Continuous Improvement:
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives for product quality and process efficiency through data-driven decision-making and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Lead quality training programs for staff to maintain high standards and awareness of quality control practices.
Team Leadership:
  • Manage and mentor the quality assurance team, ensuring proper resource allocation and professional development.
  • Foster a culture of quality and safety throughout the organization by promoting open communication and empowering employees to take ownership of quality-related issues.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • 8+ years of experience in quality control, preferably in the food industry, with a proven track record of implementing quality control systems and leading quality assurance teams.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, quality control methods, and industry certifications, such as HACCP and ISO 22000.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and proficiency in quality control software and tools.
