Senior Production Manager

This role is a key position within the production department. The Senior Production Manager will lead and manage the end-to-end production process of bus body structures, ensuring timely delivery, high-quality standards, cost efficiency, and compliance with safety and regulatory norms.

The primary objective of this role is to drive operational excellence, team development, and continuous improvement across the production line.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a solid understanding of production planning and execution.

The responsibilities of this role include:

  • Developing and implementing daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules.
  • Ensuring optimal utilization of manpower, machinery, and materials.
  • Maintaining quality assurance by adhering to dimensional accuracy, fit & finish, and welding standards.
  • Collaborating with QA teams to resolve line-level quality issues.
  • Driving root cause analysis and corrective actions for defects.

In addition to these responsibilities, the Senior Production Manager will be responsible for leading Kaizen, Six Sigma, and lean manufacturing initiatives to reduce non-value-added activities and improve line balancing.

A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering is required, along with 15-20 years of experience in automotive production. Domain expertise in bus/coach body building, BIW, assembly, and EV is essential.

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership and team management skills, as well as excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
