About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Systems Analyst to join our team at FIS. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in driving business growth and improvement through the analysis and implementation of business systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and document detailed requirements for new or improved systems, processes, or projects.
  • Process Improvement: Evaluate existing business processes and identify opportunities for improvement, proposing and implementing changes to increase efficiency, reduce costs, or enhance overall performance.
  • Solution Design: Work with technical teams to design solutions that meet business requirements, ensuring alignment with the organization's strategic goals.
  • Project Management: Take on a project management role for business analysis activities, defining project scope, creating timelines, managing resources, and ensuring timely and budget-friendly delivery.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Act as a bridge between business stakeholders and the IT team, ensuring clear communication and understanding between both groups, presenting findings and recommendations to various stakeholders, including executives.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks associated with proposed solutions or changes and develop mitigation strategies to minimize these risks.
  • Training and Documentation: Develop training materials and documentation to help end-users understand new systems or processes, conducting training sessions as needed.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and methodologies to maintain expertise and drive innovation.
  • Mentoring and Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior business analysts, potentially leading and directing the work of the business analysis team.

Requirements

  • Relevant experience of 8+ years, preferably in the IT industry.
  • Tools: Knowledge of Azure DevOps, Microsoft Teams, Office Productivity Tools (MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint for documentation, data analysis, presentation, and communication), Burndown Charts, and Velocity Tracking tools.
  • Agile Methodology: Expertise in iterative development, user story creation, active participation in Agile ceremonies, and fostering collaboration within cross-functional teams to deliver value incrementally.
  • SAFe Methodology: Understanding of the principles of the Scaled Agile Framework and aligning business requirements with the SAFe framework to ensure successful large-scale Agile implementations.
  • Project Management: Ability to create and manage project plans, knowledge of project management tools like Azure DevOps and JIRA.
  • Reporting: Basic understanding of querying databases for data analysis.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to convey complex information in a clear and understandable manner.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders, collaborate, and work with teams.
  • Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements, willingness to learn new technologies and methodologies.
  • Documentation: Ability to create clear and comprehensive documents like BRD, FRD, NFRD, User Stories, Workflow diagrams, Data flow diagrams, System design documents, etc.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.
