Pricing Strategy Role Overview

The Strategic Pricing Professional plays a critical role in driving business profitability by delivering thorough and competitive cost/pricing analysis in the bid and proposal process.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Draft strategic pricing plans to improve project outcomes
  • Develop reports on metrics, project status, client-level profit and loss, objectives, and key performance indicators
  • Communicate findings to relevant departments
  • Collaborate with sales and delivery teams to define pricing structures
  • Analyze technical and legal documents
  • Identify opportunities based on market trends and industry conditions
  • Determine ideal pricing structures and sales funnels

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and 5-8 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong networks with senior internal and external personnel
  • Good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions
  • Proven experience developing clear and accurate deliverables
  • Prior experience building pricing models
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience contributing to RFP responses
  • Data analytics experience
  • Managed service and technology experience
  • Sales report and forecast experience
  • Market trend interpretation experience
