**Job Title:** Chief Financial Officer
Job Description:The successful candidate will be a key member of the executive team, responsible for the financial health and strategic planning of the organization. This role involves overseeing the financial actions of the company, including accounting & treasury activities, tracking cash flow, financial planning, and analyzing the organization's financial strengths and weaknesses.
Responsibilities:- Develop and implement financial strategies to support the organization's long-term goals and advise on long-term business and financial planning.
- Oversight of the preparation and approval of all financial reporting metrics. Monitoring and directing the implementation of strategic business plans.
- Preparation and presentation of financial statements and reports, conducting financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Preparation and review of Management Information System (MIS) reports, including monthly and quarterly Profit & Loss (P&L) and analysis of variances.
- Ensuring efficient operation of the finance function, managing cash flow and expense control processes. Implementing operational best practices to maximize revenue and developing financial and tax strategies.
- Understanding and mitigating key elements of the organization's risk profile, monitoring all open legal issues involving the organization, and legal issues affecting the industry, and constructing and monitoring reliable control systems.
- Managing relationships with investors and investment institutions, representing the organization with bankers and investors. Raising additional capital as necessary to fund the organization's expansion.
- Ensuring timely and accurate preparation of financial statements in compliance with applicable regulations. Reporting financial results to stock exchanges and the board of directors.
- Ensuring compliance with all financial regulations and standards. Oversight of the organization's transaction processing systems.
- Leadership, development, and mentoring of the finance team. Management of the accounting and finance departments, ensuring the organization's financial stability.
- Controlling of statutory books of accounts of the organization and monitoring of day-to-day transactions such as General Ledger (GL), Bank, Account Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Assets.
- Compliance with the rules and regulations of direct and indirect taxes and ensuring timely preparation and filing of periodic returns.
- Coo-ordination with auditors or conducting statutory audit, limited review, tax audit, cost audit, and internal audit.
- Management of appropriate and feasible levels of structures on information technology (IT) setup.
- Strong knowledge of corporate finance, accounting principles, and risk management.
- Proficiency in financial modeling and forecasting.
- Excellent analytical, reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to manage, lead, and develop teams and coordinate with other functional teams.
- Strategic Vision: Ability to see the big picture and plan for future growth and sustainability.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage a high-performing finance team.
- Decision Making: Strong decision-making skills with the ability to think and act strategically.
- Integrity: High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge of Tamil language is a MUST.
