About Deal Value Creation:
Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) are vital strategic levers to enhance the value of a business—whether to generate growth, enhance capabilities or reduce operational costs. HR also presents an opportunity for business transformation, adopting new business models, workflows, and workplace cultures.
The growing disruptions, industry convergence, technological changes, and the significant shift to new business models to stay competitive mean that value creation in deals has never been more crucial. As the bar continues to rise, and deals become increasingly complex and expensive, creating deal value in M&A is more challenging than ever.
Many deals fail to achieve their original financial or strategic objectives or, in many cases, tend to minimize value, as companies are ill-prepared for the speed and intensity of the deal process. As businesses around the world continue to adapt to unique challenges, the traditional view of value optimization in a deal is due for an overhaul—Creating value in today's market requires a broader, bolder perspective.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement comprehensive MIS frameworks aligned with investment strategies and operational needs, with a strong focus on the private equity sector.
- Review control and monitoring mechanisms, establish and track critical KPIs periodically, and perform gap analysis.
- Conduct deep-dive diagnostic reviews of financial statements and industry benchmarking.
- Analyze financial data, develop financial models, and provide industry-specific insights into key financial ratios and KPIs (e.g., Insurance, Fintech, ITES, FMCG).
- Assist clients in integrations, separations, and carve-outs, including planning and managing 'Day 1 Activities' for seamless business transitions.
- Support deal execution by providing timely and accurate data analysis, financial modeling, and decision-making insights.
- Stay updated on relevant tax, accounting, legal, and sector updates that impact deal situations.
- Lead functional workstreams, conduct interviews and workshops, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement services effectively.
- Develop and manage project plans, identify risks and issues, and work with the team and client to create mitigation actions.
- Oversee the Integration/Separation Office, including project tracking, updating stakeholders, and preparing status update reports.
- Facilitate extensive interactions with senior client representatives, providing status updates, gathering feedback, and aligning deliverables with client objectives.
- Assist in preparing proposals and business development activities, including engagement letters and risk management considerations.
