
Head of Commercial Operations

This role oversees all aspects of product launches for various portfolio segments, including in-house developed, in-licensed, and co-developed products.
You will support New Product Development (NPD) project management and work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and successful product launches.
The ideal candidate will be a strategic leader with extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry, capable of driving new product launches globally and aligning cross-functional teams for success.
Key Responsibilities:- Partner with regional leaders and key functions to ensure timely adherence to product launch milestones.
- Drive excellence in launch management to achieve successful execution.
- Collaborate with regional heads to deliver accurate data on product launch timelines and replenishment plans.
- Lead cross-functional planning, including resource allocation, material planning, financial assessments, and capacity planning.
- Implement best practices in product launch management, using dashboards, templates, and tools for efficient planning and execution.
- Manage product launch calendars, optimize governance processes, and partner with senior management as needed.
- Foster talent through coaching, performance management, and setting clear expectations.
- Oversee a team of planners and launch managers.
- Assess go-to-market strategies and support local teams in customer profiling, target setting, and channel planning.
- Manage the end-to-end commercial aspects of new product launches, from demand generation to supply planning.
- 20+ years of experience in planning, product launch, or a related role in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry.
- Proven leadership and management experience, with a track record of influencing cross-functional teams.
- Deep knowledge of planning, product development, regulatory processes, and launch management.
- Familiarity with pre-clinical, clinical, CMC, quality, regulatory, and commercial functions.
- Skilled at driving decisions and solving issues within an organization.
