We are seeking an experienced Senior Design Manager to lead a team of engineers and Auto CAD draftsmen. The successful candidate will oversee the preparation of manufacturing drawings, ensuring timely, high-quality outputs that meet client standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • ">
  • Lead and mentor a team of engineers & Auto CAD draftsmen, ensuring efficient workload distribution">
  • Review & approve manufacturing drawings for compliance with design specs, standards, and quality norms">
  • Provide technical guidance on complex assemblies & fabrication detailing">
  • Coordinate with production, sales & project teams to resolve drawing mismatches and incorporate customer requirements">
  • Maintain documentation – BOMs, revision histories, project folders">
  • Implement best practices, standardization & quality control processes">
  • Drive process improvements to enhance accuracy, reduce rework, and support lean manufacturing">

Requirements

  • ">
  • 10+ years in design/production drawing management in a manufacturing environment">
  • Expertise in Auto CAD; familiarity with other design software preferred">
  • Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication, HVAC, or industrial equipment manufacturing processes">
  • Proven team leadership & mentoring abilities">
  • Excellent problem-solving & cross-functional coordination skills">
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Bachelor's/Master's)">
