Job Title: Innovation Lead

Description:

We are seeking a seasoned innovation leader to drive the development of beauty devices and accessories. This is an exceptional opportunity to own end-to-end innovation, develop differentiated products, and ensure they meet design-led, system-integrated roadmaps.

About the Role:

This position will oversee the roadmap and product requirements definition (PRDs) process. The successful candidate will define problem statements, user requirements, and success metrics; align with brand, supply chain, and finance teams.

The ideal candidate will have experience in new product development (NPD) and design for manufacturing/quality (DFM/DFX). They will drive concept ideation, evaluate motor, heat, and airflow modules, and manage tooling, tolerances, materials, and reliability testing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Roadmap & PRDs: Develop problem statements, user requirements, and success metrics; collaborate with brand, supply chain, and finance teams.
  • NPD & DFM/DFX: Drive concept ideation, evaluate motor, heat, and airflow modules, and manage tooling, tolerances, materials, and reliability testing.
  • Tech Decisions: Evaluate motor, heat, and airflow modules, power electronics, and safety aspects.
  • Vendor & Sourcing: Identify and qualify OEM/ODM/component suppliers, run RFQs, negotiate MOQs, and build should-cost models.
  • Quality & Compliance: Plan test protocols and documentation for compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Industrial Design & UX: Collaborate with industrial designers to ensure ergonomics, acoustic comfort, thermals, and serviceability; packaging fit/spec.
  • Go-to-Market Readiness: Pilot builds, line setup, SOPs, spares/after-sales, user manuals, and risk registers.
  • Data & Iteration: Track field performance, NPS/reviews, failure modes, and drive rapid revs and cost/quality improvements.

Requirements:

  • 6–10 years in hardware NPD for small appliances/consumer electronics/beauty devices.
  • Proven DFM/DFX, basic EE/ME literacy (PCBA, plastics, metals, silicone), tooling, and reliability testing.
  • Strong vendor management in India/China/Korea; hands-on with RFQs, BOMs, PPAP/FAT.
  • Familiar with Indian and global compliance pathways for consumer devices.
  • Tools: CAD (SolidWorks/Creo), basic FEA/CFD interpretation, Jira/PLM, Excel for should-costs.
  • Execution bias; can run parallel tracks and hit dates.
