Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Revenue Recognition Senior Associate to play a pivotal role in ensuring revenue recognition aligns with applicable accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough reviews of contracts to ensure revenue recognition complies with relevant accounting principles.
  • Prepare and post monthly journal entries related to revenue and associated accounts.
  • Support quarterly and annual external audits, providing necessary documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
  • Nurture effective internal relationships within the organization.
  • Deliver various ad hoc revenue analysis and reporting as required.
  • Be accountable for other special projects assigned.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • A Bachelor of Commerce degree is essential.
  • 5-7 years of experience in accounting, preferably revenue accounting.
  • Prior experience in public accounting or professional services, or the IT industry, is highly desirable.
  • A Certified Accountant (CA) or Chartered Public Accountant (CPA) designation or pursuing one is advantageous.

Requirements and Benefits:

  • Proficiency in ASC 606 revenue recognition standard and US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles is mandatory.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines are essential.
  • The capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously is crucial.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.
  • Experience with Workday is an asset.
