Senior Database Developer Position

We are seeking an experienced and skilled database developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in developing and maintaining large-scale database applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain database applications using COBOL, DB2, JCL, and CICS.
  • Write complex SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers, and performance tuning in DB2.
  • Translate user requirements into system specifications and technical solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Business Analysts, QA, and Infrastructure teams.
  • Ensure high quality and timely delivery of software solutions.
  • Provide production support and troubleshoot database-related performance and data issues.
  • Maintain technical documentation and adhere to coding standards and compliance policies.

Requirements:

  • 6 to 13 years of hands-on experience in database development.
  • Strong expertise in COBOL, DB2, JCL, and CICS.
  • Proficient in writing and optimizing SQL queries and DB2 stored procedures.
  • Experience in batch and online processing on IBM Mainframe systems.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
