Job Title: Mainframe DB2 Systems Developer

Seeking an expert in Mainframe DB2 systems development to join our team. As a developer, you will have the opportunity to shape the foundation of technology that drives our world.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain software for managing computer operating systems, hardware, and other systems software.
  • Optimize system parameters, troubleshoot issues, and diagnose performance bottlenecks.
  • Work with vendors to resolve technical issues and provide ongoing guidance to lead professional work teams.

As a leader in this field, you will be expected to conduct RCA discussions and provide technical guidance to teams. Our ideal candidate has 8+ years of experience in DB2 subsystem setup, ZPARM tuning, and data sharing architecture.

Required Skills And Experience:

  • 8+ Yrs experience in DB2 subsystem setup (standalone & data sharing) and ZPARM tuning.
  • Expertise in Monoplex, SYSPLEX, and data-sharing architecture.
  • Strong knowledge of DB2 DRDA architecture, backup & recovery (image copy, FLASH, mirroring).
  • Experience in REXX/CLIST, ISPF programming, and CICS/IMS-DB2 interface.

Preferred Skills And Experience:

  • Strong knowledge of IBM utilities (REORG, RUNSTATS, LOAD, UNLOAD).
  • Expertise in DB2 traces, SMF, RMF, WLM, and performance reports.
  • Tuning virtual storage (Buffer Pool, EDM Pool, thread storage).
