Woven Garment Merchandiser

The role of a Woven Garment Merchandiser is to oversee the end-to-end merchandising process in woven garments, serving as the key liaison between buyers, suppliers, and the production team. This position demands exceptional coordination, strong costing knowledge, and the ability to deliver products that meet buyer specifications, quality standards, and timelines.

  • Collaborate with Design teams for seasonal collections as per customer requirements.
  • Develop samples, negotiate prices, and confirm orders with buyers.
  • Manage material orders according to timelines while improving budget and costs.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, independent work ethic, adaptability to changing environments, and challenges.
  • Experience in handling small and high-value businesses.
  • Strong communication skills with customers, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Technical knowledge of woven garment manufacturing processes, including categories like shirts, jackets, and bottoms.
  • Excellent leadership and management experience.
  • High level of ownership and commitment to job responsibilities for result-driven achievements.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Textiles, Apparel Merchandising, or Fashion Technology.
  • 1-8 years of experience as a Merchandiser in a woven garment factory (buyer-handling experience preferred).
  • Strong understanding of woven fabrics, garment construction, costing, and production processes.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and ERP/MIS systems.
  • Ability to multitask, handle pressure, and meet strict deadlines.
