Plumbing and Fire Fighting Design Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Plumbing and Fire Fighting Design Specialist to join our team at Job24by7. As an MEP system designer, you will be responsible for producing concept designs, schematic designs, design developments, and construction designs of plumbing and firefighting systems.

  • Produce tender drawings of plumbing and firefighting systems, including waste, soil, rainwater, sprinkler, hose reel, and fire extinguisher systems.
  • Provide calculated notes as required.
  • Prepare shop drawings for submission and resubmission, including plumbing and fire fighting system drawings.
  • Select and prepare materials for submission.
  • Contact suppliers to request quotations and technical documents, if required.
  • Take off bill of quantities (BOQ) of firefighting and plumbing systems, including sprinkler heads, pipes, sanitary fixture units, etc.
  • Prepare information regarding design, structure specifications, materials, equipment, estimated costs, and construction times.
  • Consult with consultants to determine function and spatial requirements of MEP systems.
  • Coordinate closely with electrical, mechanical, architectural, and structural teams.
  • Direct activities of workers engaged in preparing drawing and specification documents.
  • Plan project layouts.
  • Prepare scale drawings.
  • Collaborate with supervisors in preparing technical reports and installation on site.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Prepare technical specifications and standards.
  • Collaborate with engineers and architects to ensure seamless integration.
  • Conduct site visits to inspect work in progress.

Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you should have:

  • 10-25 years of experience in plumbing and fire fighting design.
