Apache Druid Data Engineer

About the Role:

  • We seek an experienced Apache Druid engineer to design, implement and maintain large-scale data processing systems.
  • A strong understanding of real-time analytics, OLAP systems, and columnar storage is essential for success in this role.
  • The ideal candidate will be proficient in SQL, query optimization, and data modeling for Druid.
  • Experience integrating Druid with Kafka, Hadoop, Spark, or Flink is crucial.
  • A solid knowledge of Linux administration, shell scripting, and JVM tuning is also necessary.
  • Familiarity with monitoring/logging tools (Grafana, Prometheus, ELK, Splunk) is a plus.
  • Exposure to cloud-native deployments (AWS, Azure, GCP) is highly desirable.
  • Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills in distributed systems are required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain large-scale data processing systems using Apache Druid.
  • Develop and optimize complex SQL queries for Druid.
  • Collaborate closely with the development team to integrate Druid with other systems.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot Druid clusters.
  • Work with the operations team to ensure smooth deployment and scaling of Druid.
