Data Engineer - Apache Druid

We are seeking a highly skilled data engineer to join our team at 7hillsts. The successful candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Apache Druid in production, as well as a solid understanding of real-time analytics, OLAP systems, and columnar storage.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and maintain large-scale data pipelines using Apache Druid.
  • Develop and optimize complex SQL queries for Druid, ensuring high performance and scalability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Druid with other technologies such as Kafka, Hadoop, Spark, or Flink.
  • Ensure the smooth operation of Druid clusters, including Linux administration, shell scripting, and JVM tuning.
  • Familiarity with monitoring/logging tools (Grafana, Prometheus, ELK, Splunk) is essential.
  • The ideal candidate should have experience with cloud-native deployments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and good debugging and problem-solving skills in distributed systems.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering, with a focus on real-time analytics and big data.
  • Strong expertise in Apache Druid, including its architecture, configuration, and performance optimization.
  • Excellent knowledge of SQL, query optimization, and data modeling for Druid.
  • Experience integrating Druid with other technologies, such as Kafka, Hadoop, Spark, or Flink.
  • Proficiency in Linux administration, shell scripting, and JVM tuning.
  • Familiarity with monitoring/logging tools (Grafana, Prometheus, ELK, Splunk).
  • Exposure to cloud-native deployments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Good debugging and problem-solving skills in distributed systems.
