Job Title:
Big Data Architect

We are seeking a skilled professional to oversee the collection, storage, and analysis of vast amounts of data. The primary responsibility will be to select and implement optimal solutions for these purposes, maintaining, implementing, and monitoring them.

Your duties will include:
  • Selecting and integrating appropriate Big Data tools and frameworks
  • Implementing ETL processes
  • Monitoring performance and advising infrastructure changes
  • Defining data retention policies
Requirements:
Proficient understanding of distributed computing principles,
Management of Hadoop clusters with included services,
Ability to resolve ongoing issues with operating clusters,
Proficiency in Hadoop v2, MapReduce, HDFS,
Experience with stream-processing systems using Storm or Spark-Streaming,
Good knowledge of querying tools like Pig, Hive, and Impala,
Experience with Spark,
Knowledge of ETL techniques and frameworks such as Flume,
Experience with messaging systems like Kafka or RabbitMQ,
Familiarity with Big Data ML toolkits like Mahout, SparkML, or H2O,
Understanding of Lambda Architecture along with its advantages and drawbacks.
