As a Principal Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing and developing the core distributed systems that provide a robust and scalable foundation for AI products. Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Develop: Create foundational backend services that meet rigorous standards for performance and reliability.
  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and mentorship through exemplary code, design documents, and thoughtful code reviews. Drive best practices in system design and raise the bar for the team.
  • Accountability and Impact: Take ownership of complex technical projects from conception to deployment. Deliver pragmatic, robust solutions.
  • Solve Complex Problems: Tackle challenging technical issues in distributed computing, large-scale data processing, and overall system architecture.
Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience in software engineering with a proven track record of designing and building complex distributed systems.
  • Deep expertise in backend development, including system architecture, data modeling, and API design.
  • A strong bias for action and a pragmatic approach to problem-solving. Passion for writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
  • Strong proficiency in at least one backend language (e.g., Python, Go, Java, C++). Experience with or interest in TypeScript is beneficial.
  • Experience with modern cloud and data infrastructure is essential (e.g., Google Cloud, Docker/Kubernetes, Postgres).
