Job Description

We are building a cutting-edge engine of transparent wellness, seeking an experienced systems thinker to shape the architecture and design reliable solutions.

This role involves working on the backbone of our system: APIs, data pipelines, integrations, and infrastructure that power our consumer and partner experiences.

You will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining backend components, APIs, and integrations, as well as helping to architect data flows across various systems.

Additionally, you will implement secure authentication/authorisation using Auth0, OAuth2, OIDC, and JWT, support search/vector search/ranking and external API integrations, and set up monitoring and observability using OpenTelemetry, dashboards, and SLOs.

Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in backend engineering and system architecture.
  • Strong grasp of data flows, infrastructure, and integration patterns.
  • Proficiency with REST APIs, backend/frontend integration, and secrets hygiene.
  • Experience with PostgreSQL, caching, object storage, and streaming systems.
  • Working knowledge of PII/PHI/GDPR handling in production systems.
  • Understanding of ranking, scoring, or recommendation systems is a plus.
