We are seeking a highly skilled Media Educator to join our team.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work with students from grades 6 to 12, teaching them valuable skills in media literacy, creativity and digital navigation. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and delivering engaging curriculum content, setting up Media Shala Hubs in schools as needed, and conducting classes in Journalism, Photography, Film Making, Podcasting and Graphic Design.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver high-quality curriculum content that meets the needs of students from grades 6 to 12.
  • Aid in the setup and management of Media Shala Hubs in schools, including stock planning, procurements and resource allocation.
  • Conduct classes in various media verticals, including Journalism, Photography, Film Making, Podcasting and Graphic Design.
  • Plan and execute regular learning workshops and programs at Media Shala and Express Programs at different hubs based on need.
  • Develop and curate engaging media projects with students for maximum learning benefit.
  • Liaise with industry experts for expert talks or student internships.
  • Mentor participation of students in media-related competitions to win.
  • Create content for Media Shala's social footprint as needed.
  • Video Editing and creation of short-form digital videos for branding campaigns when required.
  • Manage the coverage and creation of short-form digital videos for big school events.
  • Manage the Media Shala Lab by taking complete charge of operations and equipment.
  • Share knowledge and stay up-to-date with the latest innovations in the media industry.
  • Contribute towards central projects as needed.
