Transaction Testing Analyst Job

Job Description:

The Transaction Testing Analyst will play a key role in setting up the new transaction testing function to ensure financial transactions are accurate, complete, and adhere to regulatory standards.

The analyst will develop a risk-based approach to determine the prioritization and cadence of reviews for transaction testing of regulatory reports via comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts.

They will analyze large datasets to identify discrepancies, anomalies, and gaps in reported values by performing validations against source systems/points of origin.

The analyst will design and prepare 2LoD transaction testing review reports summarizing the approach, testing methodology, and outcomes inclusive of findings, if any.

They will perform data management controls testing across regulatory reports to validate overall control design, operational effectiveness, and coverage.

The analyst will stay abreast of changes in banking regulations and reporting requirements to ensure transaction testing aligns with current mandates, regulations, industry standards, emerging trends, and overall best practices.



Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Degree: Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Risk Management, or other related discipline.
  • Experience: 2-3 years of experience in regulatory reporting team, audit, compliance, or risk management within the banking or financial services industry.
  • Knowledge: Regulatory reporting, audit, US GAAP, and financial accounting is preferred.
  • Skills: Proficient in using data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL), and knowledge of database systems.
