Role Overview:

This is an exceptional opportunity for a skilled Special Educator to provide personalized special education sessions in a home environment.

The focus will be on developing functional academics, communication skills, and supporting daily living activities (ADLs). This freelance, contract-based role offers flexible scheduling.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver tailored special education sessions to meet the child's needs
  • Foster functional communication, basic literacy, and language through engaging activities
  • Support the child's independence in ADLs (e.g., dressing, eating, basic routines)
  • Conduct informal assessments to set measurable goals and track progress
  • Develop interactive, age-appropriate learning tools and methods
  • Maintain accurate session records and update the team regularly
  • Collaborate with parents and other therapists to ensure holistic support

Requirements:

  • Diploma, Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education (RCI-registered preferred)
  • Minimum 1 year of experience working with children with developmental disabilities
  • Strong understanding of communication strategies and life skills training
  • Ability to work independently in a home-based setting
  • Respectful, non-judgmental, and family-focused approach

Selection Process:

Shortlisted candidates may be invited to conduct a demo session at the child's home. This will be a paid session, with compensation discussed in advance to cover travel and time.
