As a Regional Sourcing Manager, you will play a crucial role in developing, refining, and executing regional sourcing strategies to optimize Dorman's global supply base and achieve our objectives for product innovation, speed-to-market, quality, delivery, and total product cost.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain awareness of regional market and emerging material/process-related issues in the industry and proactively incorporate them into regional supply chain strategies.
  • Work with assigned business units and category managers to understand current and future supply chain needs and identify cost savings opportunities.
  • Support business unit global sourcing initiatives by identifying, qualifying, negotiating favorable commercial terms, and onboarding new suppliers to meet project objectives.
  • Manage ongoing supplier commercial issues, including negotiating long-term agreements, renegotiating pricing based on market conditions, and managing material and foreign exchange index surcharges clauses.
  • Drive sustainable improvements in supplier quality, delivery, cost, and cash flow performance by supporting business unit supplier audit and supplier scorecard programs.
  • Monitor product line demand trends and new project funnels to determine required long-term supply base capacities and capabilities and take proactive action to ensure capacities and capabilities are readily available as needed.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior management, teams, and individuals across multiple cultures, disciplines, and geographies.
  • Hands-on experience leading supply chain activities in assigned regions in a similar industry.
  • Able to effectively navigate and work through complex situations in a multi-cultural business environment.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with a strong working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and scheduling software.
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Strong computer and analytical skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
  • Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in a supply chain management role in automotive OEMs/Tier 1.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a technical discipline, with an MBA highly desired.
  • Hands-on experience supporting new product development projects, qualifying suppliers, qualifying products/components, verifying suppliers' manufacturing readiness, and ramping up volume production in the assigned region.
  • Experienced using supplier performance management best-practices to drive supplier continuous improvement.
  • Willingness to travel 35% to 50%.
