Automation Test Lead Job Description
  • Our organization is seeking a skilled Automation Test Lead to spearhead our automation testing efforts.
  • The ideal candidate will have expertise in developing test strategies, plans, and maintaining automation test data, as well as experience with automated testing frameworks for web-based software and mobile platforms.
  • Responsibilities will include developing and continuously improving automated tests, executing automated tests, and managing defect logs through validation.
  • Additionally, the Automation Test Lead will ensure appropriate test environments and infrastructures are in place and up-to-date, identify and report questionable functions and performance concerns, and document and mentor QA engineers.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and ability to articulate and drive sustainable processes are essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop comprehensive test strategies, plans, and maintain automation test data.
  • Design and implement automated testing frameworks for web-based software and mobile platforms.
  • Execute automated tests, manage defect logs, and validate fixes.
  • Ensure optimal test environments and infrastructure are established and maintained.
  • Identify and report questionable functions and performance concerns to stakeholders.
  • Document and mentor QA engineers on best practices and procedures.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Expertise in test strategy development, automation testing frameworks, and CI/CD pipeline management.
  • Proficiency in object-oriented programming languages and SQL.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working in Agile Scrum environment and leading cross-functional teams.
  • Extensive knowledge of coding standards, documentation best practices, and testing methodologies.
