Job Overview

Sabre is seeking a highly skilled Senior Tax Consultant to join our APAC region team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in tax provision, compliance, and controversy in multiple countries across the APAC region.

Responsibilities

  • Support the review of quarterly US GAAP tax provision reporting for APAC entities prepared by external advisors, including current and deferred taxes, proof of tax payables, return-to-provision, and uncertain tax positions (ASC 740-10, formerly FIN 48).
  • Prepare and review local audited accounts' tax disclosures.
  • Operate the corporate income tax, withholding tax/TDS, CbCR compliance process by supporting and enabling the provision of information to external advisors in the APAC region, working in partnership with the APAC accounting team and reviewing the output prepared by the external advisors.
  • Assist with tax controversies - work with local teams and tax advisors, dealing with communications and minimizing further queries.
  • Support cross-border tax issues such as transfer pricing (including support and validation of transfer pricing policies in the APAC region), treaty clearances, and withholding taxes.
  • Support local and regional tax projects as assigned by the APAC Tax Manager.
  • Manage the corporate tax payment process for APAC entities and support cash tax forecasting and reporting.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • A Chartered Accountant (ACA) or equivalent.
  • At least 3 years post-qualified experience in taxes.
  • Experience in Singapore, India, Australia, and/or international taxes either in practice or in-house.
  • Experience with HFM Smartview and SAP.
  • Fluent in English; additional languages welcome.
  • The ability to multitask and prioritize effectively to meet deadlines with attention to detail.
  • The ability to work long hours due to different time zones.
  • The ability to build relationships and trust within the organization with tax, accounting, legal, and business colleagues.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate tax issues to non-tax people.
  • Excellent software skills, especially Excel.

Estimated Salary Range: $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
