Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Job Description

The position involves working with a wide range of aircraft systems, maintenance programs, and engines to develop solutions that maintain the safety of our fleet. Collaboration is key in driving continuous improvement.

About the Role:

  • Provide engineering support for various aircraft systems, maintenance programs, and operational engineering functions.
  • Analyze and find solutions to design, operation, maintenance, performance, or repair of aircraft and their components.
  • Develop implementation plans, project justification, cost analysis, and overall management of project implementation.
  • Coordinate with regulatory bodies for approvals and warranty recovery on service bulletins.
  • Review service bulletins from manufacturers for effectivity to our fleet.
  • Offer 24/7/365 engineering support to the liaison engineering team.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field.
  • Three years of experience in aircraft maintenance, engineering, or a related field.
  • FAA 121 airline operator and associate FARs or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field.
  • Five years of experience in aircraft maintenance, engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience with FAA regulations and guidelines or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with project management tools and software.

Skills, Licenses, and Certifications:

  • Strong understanding of aircraft systems, maintenance programs, and engines.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
