Senior Manager IP Job Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Manager - Intellectual Property to join our team. This role will report to the Head of Intellectual Property and be responsible for managing the growing IP portfolio of our company, enforcing IP processes, and working closely with various teams to identify products to be introduced into the development grid.

The successful candidate will have a PhD or post-graduate degree in Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Sciences, or Pharmaceutical Sciences, and at least 13+ years of experience in a reputable global pharmaceutical company with team handling skills.

Litigation, litigation support, and licensing experience are highly desired. The ideal candidate will be well-organized, detail-oriented, and a team player capable of working in a deadline-dictated environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the IP portfolio and develop strategies for its growth.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to identify products and devise effective product development strategies.
  • Draft patents, freedom to operate reports, infringement and validity analysis, risk assessment, and mitigation strategies.
  • File and prosecute inventive solutions to build significant wealth of intellectual property.
  • Monitor and evaluate third-party scientific and patent publications.
  • Provide IP-related inputs to support legal agreements and negotiations.
  • Partner with other legal and business functions to provide strategic advice and strategy in connection with M&A transactions, licensing agreements, research collaborations, adverse proceedings, and litigation activities.
Requirements
  • PhD or post-graduate degree in Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Sciences, or Pharmaceutical Sciences.
  • At least 13+ years of experience in a reputable global pharmaceutical company with team handling skills.
  • Litigation, litigation support, and licensing experience are highly desired.
