Business Development Manager
About the Role:
The Business Development Manager will lead a team of sales professionals, driving revenue growth and delivering excellent customer service to increase business. This role involves performance monitoring, training, coaching, and implementing effective sales strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership & Management
- Lead, mentor, and manage a sales team.
- Set daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets for individuals and the team.
- Monitor performance, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance reviews.
- Ensure the team follows company sales scripts, compliance policies, and quality standards.
- Sales & Strategy
- Develop and implement sales strategies to drive revenue and meet business objectives.
- Identify opportunities to upsell, cross-sell, and retain customers.
- Track KPIs such as call volumes, conversion rates, lead generation, and revenue.
- Analyze sales data and prepare regular reports for senior management.
- Training & Development
- Provide training and coaching to improve communication, sales techniques, and product knowledge.
- Onboard new hires and ensure smooth integration into the team.
- Identify skill gaps and arrange refresher training sessions.
- Operations & Process Management
- Ensure efficient use of CRM systems, sales scripts, and sales tools.
- Monitor call quality, customer interactions, and adherence to compliance standards.
- Manage shift scheduling, attendance, and team discipline.
- Work closely with marketing and operations teams to support lead generation and customer engagement initiatives.

- Ability to handle high-pressure sales environments.
- Data-driven decision-making with strong analytical skills.
- Proficiency in CRM systems and MS Office tools.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Graduate/Postgraduate in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- 5–8 years of sales experience with at least 2–3 years in a managerial role.
- Proven track record of managing large sales teams (20–30+ people).
- Experience in BFSI, Telecom, EdTech preferred.
