Job Overview

: Bechtel Corporation is seeking an experienced Senior HVAC Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will have a degree in Mechanical Engineering and a minimum of 8 years' experience working as a designer in an engineering company with expertise in Revit design environment.

About the Role

: As a Senior HVAC Engineer, you will be responsible for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating HVAC detailed engineering activities on a project. You will work closely with the Engineer Group Supervisor and collaborate with other disciplines such as PDP, Architecture, Electrical, and Structural. Your primary duties will include hands-on experience in Revit modeling for HVAC equipment, sprinklers, fixtures, ducting, and piping layout and support details, drawing extraction, annotation, and clash checking. You will also be expected to coordinate all services 3D/2D architectural and structural models/layout in NAVISWORKS. Additionally, you will assist in preparing plans and coordinating assigned work to meet project schedules. You must have knowledge of design and drafting techniques, understanding of engineering drawings, graphic arts, 2-D and 3-D CAD, review of fabrication drawings, and reproduction methods used by the discipline. You should also be well-versed in preparation of layouts, study drawings, detailed 2-D and 3-D Computer Aided Design (CAD) design models, and construction drawings. Furthermore, you will prepare or assist with the preparation of assigned material requisitions and bid evaluations. You will monitor and check work for compliance with approved design standards to provide quality design, reliable/safe plant operation, and construction economy. It is essential to have exposure to different aspects of building services including architectural and structural discipline. You should also have knowledge of the application of engineering and construction materials related to the discipline's design responsibilities. Moreover, you will need to demonstrate knowledge of industry and regulatory standards, design criteria, and codes relevant to the discipline. Finally, you will have knowledge of procedures used for the procurement and quantity control of bulk materials applicable to the discipline.

Required Skills and Qualifications

: The ideal candidate will possess good knowledge of HVAC, Firefighting, and Plumbing systems for commercial, industrial, and public buildings. Work experience in Semiconductor industry, Metro Rail, Airport, Oil and Gas projects would be added advantage. The Candidate will work as part of Global Bechtel team and should have basic flair for working with personnel of different nationalities. They should have a good proficiency for spoken and written English language. Basic skill in oral and written communication is required

Estimated Salary Range

: $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on location and experience
