Regional Sales Development Officer

This role involves traveling throughout an assigned territory to train and guide company sales representatives. It is essential to maintain solid working relationships with customers by ensuring their needs are met and resolving complaints in a timely manner.
The successful candidate will continually meet or exceed sales targets by persuading customers within the assigned territory to purchase company products and services. This includes analyzing sales and marketing data to determine the most effective sales and marketing techniques, developing innovative sales strategies to increase sales within the assigned territory, conducting surveys to better understand customer needs, attending trade shows to promote company products and services, and ensuring that brand awareness within the assigned territory meets company expectations.
Additionally, the Territory Sales Manager will motivate Sales Representatives to achieve sales quotas and evaluate their performance based on their ability or inability to achieve sales quotas. They will also monitor competitors' sales activity within the assigned territory.
- Responsibilities include training and guiding company sales representatives, maintaining customer relationships, meeting sales targets, analyzing sales and marketing data, developing sales strategies, conducting surveys, promoting products and services, and monitoring competitors' activity.
Requirements for Success
To be successful in this position, the candidate should have:
- A Bachelor's degree in business administration, business management, marketing, or a related field.
- Proven experience working as a Territory Sales Manager.
- Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications.
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Sound negotiation and consultative sales skills.
- Effective communication skills.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
Preferred Qualifications
It would be beneficial if the candidate has experience in FMCG Line products, was recently relieved from an existing Food Production Company, and holds a degree or equivalent qualification.
