Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct assessments to evaluate clients' current voice and accent levels, providing detailed feedback for improvement.
  • Design and deliver tailored voice and accent training programs that cater to diverse client needs.
  • Teach pronunciation, stress patterns, intonation, and speech clarity through interactive sessions and exercises.
  • Offer one-on-one coaching as well as group workshops to accommodate varying learning styles and preferences.
  • Develop learning materials such as scripts, exercises, and audio resources to support clients in their journey towards improved vocal skills.
  • Track progress and provide constructive feedback to trainees, enabling them to refine their skills and achieve their goals.
  • Support recruitment by assessing voice/accent during candidate screening, if required, to ensure a strong fit between the candidate's skills and the organization's needs.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Linguistics, Communication, English, Theatre, or related field, demonstrating a solid foundation in language and communication principles.
  • 2+ years of experience as a Voice and Accent Trainer or Coach, with a proven track record of successful client outcomes.
  • Expertise in American, British, or Neutral English accents (or others as needed), showcasing adaptability and versatility in your work.
  • Strong understanding of phonetics and English language nuances, enabling you to communicate complex concepts effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, allowing you to build rapport with clients and colleagues alike.
  • Familiarity with digital tools for remote coaching (e.g. Zoom, Teams, LMS platforms), ensuring seamless collaboration across distances.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certification in TESOL/TEFL, phonetics, or accent reduction, highlighting your commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Experience working with BPOs, corporate communication teams, or performing arts, demonstrating your ability to thrive in diverse environments.
  • Ability to coach for specific outcomes like public speaking, interviews, or customer service, showcasing your flexibility and focus on results.
