Senior Visual Effects Specialist

We are seeking an accomplished Senior Visual Effects Specialist to spearhead the creation of cutting-edge visual effects for feature films.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement intricate FX animations, procedural simulations, dynamic simulations, particle systems, and fluid dynamics
  • Manage complex lighting setups
  • Maintain open communication with supervisors and production teams regarding shot status
  • Provide accurate time estimates for shot completion
  • Effectively hand off elements to other departments (i.e. composition and rendering teams)
  • Present work in dailies and attend department meetings
  • Guide junior visual effects artists in their professional development
  • Oversee data management of shots, including cleanup and organization

This position requires a minimum of three years of experience in VFX or equivalent relevant skills. A college-level diploma in computer graphics, fine arts, design, or photography, or a related field, is also required. Alternatively, five years of professional VFX experience can be considered in lieu of formal education.
