Job Title: Data Infrastructure Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Data Infrastructure Specialist to join our team. This role will involve designing, implementing, and maintaining large-scale database systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintaining and administering MSSQL, PostgresDB, and MySQL database engines with a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience.
  • Performing core DBA administrative tasks and understanding DB engine architectures in depth.
  • Establishing and maintaining robust database security protocols and standards.
  • Managing cloud-based database hosting, preferably on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Working with in-memory databases such as Redis and Memcached.
  • Implementing effective monitoring solutions tailored to database performance and health.
  • Configuring alerts for critical database parameters to ensure timely issue identification.
  • Analyzing performance and providing actionable optimization suggestions.
  • Managing post-deployment configurations and enforcing best practices.
  • Performing automated database installations using configuration management tools like Ansible.
  • Configuring CI/CD pipelines to streamline DBA workflows.
  • Writing PowerShell scripts for automating MSSQL administrative tasks.
  • Executing database migrations across heterogeneous environments.
  • Navigating and managing Linux environments for MySQL and Postgres deployments.
  • Designing and implementing disaster recovery solutions.
  • Configuring load balancing and replication solutions.
  • Setting up and maintaining robust database backup strategies.
  • Continuously exploring and evaluating new features in the latest or stable database versions.
  • Maintaining accurate documentation, including inventory, installation procedures, and system configurations.
  • Being available for shift work, including potential on-call support.
  • Communicating effectively with clients and internal teams to resolve database-related issues.
