Job Overview

The Legal Strategist will be a member of the leadership team, working closely with the Group Chief Legal Officer to manage all aspects of legal affairs. This role involves significant interaction with senior management, providing advice on various legal issues, managing outside counsels, and leading internal teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive legal guidance on strategic decision-making.
  • Assist with litigation strategy and oversee outside counsel relationships.
  • Oversee the legal aspects of business operations.
  • Lead funding transactions from a legal perspective and manage external legal advisors.
  • Manage equity deals, contracts, M&A/corporate finance, litigations, and business acquisitions.

Qualifications and Skills:

A law graduate from a reputable institution, with 15+ years of experience in multinational companies, preferably in the power/infrastructure/energy sectors. A mix of in-house and law firm experience is desirable.

Sound commercial acumen, strong analytical skills, ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders, and excellent communication skills are essential.
