Job Title: Purchase Manager

Purchase Management

    Responsible for strategic procurement and order finalization of mechanical, electrical, civil, administration and consumables ensuring timely negotiation and approval of day-to-day indenting and purchase orders.

  • Monitoring and overseeing the entire procurement process to ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Ensuring responsible and accountable negotiation and approvals for day-to-day procurement of coal beneficiation plant operational purchases.
Contract Management

    Finalizing BOQs, issuing tender documents, analyzing and evaluating tenders and awarding contracts for turnkey job works related to mechanical, electrical, civil works, manpower supply and plumbing.

  • Preparation and finalization of rate contracts for regular required materials during project operation and managing work contracts related to bulk fabrications, erections, machining and repairing works at different locations.
  • Awarding rate contracts for transportation of various raw materials, dispatch of finished goods from the plant to different customers.
  • Finalizing rates for stuffing of containers at the plant premises and at container termination stations for shipment subject to terms and conditions.
Vendor Development

    Deciding supplier selection and making final decisions. Managing supplier relationships for local categories and ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Providing assistance to the tendering team with reference to current and future projected procurement costs.
  • Ensuring that procurement value is well within the specified budget.
Export Documentation & Logistic Management

    Guiding and monitoring the preparation of shipment documentation.

  • Negotiating and awarding transport rate contracts for bulk logistics through different modes including road transport, rail loading, and custom house agents from Vizag Seaport and Paradeep Port.
  • MIS report presentation for incoming raw materials and dispatched finished goods.
Computer Skills

    Experience in SAP/MM system, computer tools AutoCAD, MS Office, and Outlook.
